Ford recalls nearly 45K F-150s over incomplete prior recall repair
Ford is recalling nearly 45,000 model-year 2014 F-150 trucks after finding that a prior powertrain software update was improperly documented as completed when it was not. Without the update, the vehicles risk an abrupt and unexpected downshift into first gear while driving.
Recalling a vehicle to fix a recall that supposedly fixed a previous recall is peak Dearborn efficiency.
