Ford Recall Tracker is not an official recall notification service. A campaign appearing on this website does not establish that your individual vehicle is affected. Likewise, failure to find a campaign here does not establish that your vehicle has no outstanding recalls.
For information concerning your specific vehicle, check your VIN using the official NHTSA recall lookup and/or Ford’s official recall service before relying on anything on this site.
Official NHTSA VIN Lookup →ON CERTAIN MEDIUM DUTY CHASSIS CAB VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH HYDRAULIC BRAKES, THE DRIVE LINE PARK BRAKE ANCHOR BOLT MAY BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO FATIGUE LOADING. THE BOLT COULD FRACTURE OVER TIME DUE TO INSUFFICIENT CLAMP LOAD AS A RESULT OF IMPROPER ANCHOR BOLT PLATING.
IF THE PARK BRAKE ANCHOR BOLT FATIGUES AND ULTIMATELY FRACTURES, THE PARK BRAKE MAY NOT FUNCTION AND THERE MAY BE NO INDICATION TO THE DRIVER OF THE MALFUNCTION WHEN THE PARK BRAKE IS SET. THIS MAY CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO ROLL AWAY WITHOUT WARNING, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PARK BRAKE ANCHOR BOLT. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 6, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-392-3673.
