Ford Recall Tracker is not an official recall notification service. A campaign appearing on this website does not establish that your individual vehicle is affected. Likewise, failure to find a campaign here does not establish that your vehicle has no outstanding recalls.
For information concerning your specific vehicle, check your VIN using the official NHTSA recall lookup and/or Ford’s official recall service before relying on anything on this site.
Official NHTSA VIN Lookup →VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS. THE AIR BRAKE RESERVOIR ASSEMBLIES HAVE POOR WELD FUSION AT THE WELDED SEAMS IN THE RESERVOIRS. THIS COULD RESULT IN REPUTURE OF THE SEAM AND SUBSEQUENT RELEASE OF THE COMPRESSED AIR.
RAPID RELEASE OF THE COMPRESSED AIR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CAB FLOOR OR SURROUNDING COMPONENTS AND COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY. LOSS OF PRESSURE FROM THE PRIMARY RESERVOIR WOULD ALSO RESULT IN LOSS OF AIR SUPPLY TO THE FRONT BRAKES INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY AIR BRAKE RESERVOIRS.
