Ford Recall Tracker is not an official recall notification service. A campaign appearing on this website does not establish that your individual vehicle is affected. Likewise, failure to find a campaign here does not establish that your vehicle has no outstanding recalls.
For information concerning your specific vehicle, check your VIN using the official NHTSA recall lookup and/or Ford’s official recall service before relying on anything on this site.
Official NHTSA VIN Lookup →VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH 7.0L LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (LPG) ENGINE OR 7.0L EFI (GASOLINE) ENGINE WITH THE OPTIONAL CAB FLOOR PAN REINFORCEMENT. THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS OR BATTERY CABLE CAN BE PINCHED BETWEEN THE OPTIONAL CAB REINFORCEMENT AND THE FRAME CAUSING AN ABRASION WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT.
A SHORT CIRCUIT CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING AND ARCING.
DEALERS WILL MODIFY THE REINFORCEMENT(S) AND, IF NECESSARY, REPOSITION THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING INSTALLATION OF THE REVISED ENGINE WIRE HARNESS RETENTION BRACKET) AND BATTERY CABLE.
